John Mollura is a full-time photographer specializing in empowering, creative portraits. He turned his lifelong hobby of photography into a full-time career after fifteen years as a test engineer for NASA and military projects. He has recently been voted “Best Downstate Portrait Photographer” in Delaware Today Magazine for a second year in a row. His work has also appeared in many places, from National Geographic to Country Music Television (CMT).

John believes in giving back and has led, and founded, many photo-centric community events and groups. His most recent project is the RE>Figured Project with the mission to turn scars, wounds, and hurts into celebrations of survival through storytelling and creative portraits.
John initially only photographed landscapes. He became known for images shown from unusual and captivating points of view. John eventually began applying his avant-guard photography style to creating portraits that capture the true essence of a person and showcases them in a light they have never been seen in before. He lives in Milford with his wife and three children.
