Shortly after their daughter Summer J. was born, a member of their family was diagnosed with cancer. “It was out of this crisis,” says co-owner Queon Jackson, “that we became committed to creating something healthy for all families and communities, so we created Summer J. Pops!” Their flavorful fruit pops are certified vegan, gluten free, and dairy free along with being made with simple ingredients – nothing artificial. Summer J. Pops are a necessity for the approaching summertime and meant to be shared.

A post COVID era will require a new community healthy playbook, one that involves a place like Summer J. As Delaware’s first artisan ice pop company, Queon says that it’s their mission to use their fruit pops to change food landscapes through advocacy, awareness, and access for healthier options that serve urban and rural areas across Delaware. “We look forward to the opportunities expanding our products into grocery stores, convenience stores such as WAWA, Royal Farms that we fail have a duty to provide healthier choices.” They’re also focused on having their products available in local school districts and universities.

Since 2016, Summer J. Pops has been the new way to have affordable access to a FDA approved Smart Snack and have created a shelf stable solution to help eliminate food waste in our community. Additionally, as a certified MBE, minority business enterprise, they continue to build partnerships throughout the state to build healthy communities for all.
